We searched for a location that was ideal, with strong, well-positioned trees, and we found it on the southern Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, in the National Wildlife Refuge of Gandoca-Manzanillo, where the tropical rain forest meets the coral reefs of the Caribbean Ocean. |

Here it takes only fifteen minutes by foot to reach the deep jungle, home to screaming parrots, jumping poison-dart frogs, and traveling monkeys leaping from limb to limb, high in the giant trees. There is a feeling of absolute symbiosis. This is a land in perfect balance, in which everything is connected with everything else. It is a vision like “Avatar” on Earth. |
